Step 1: On Site Consultation

The process begins with a visit from an experienced Design Consultant to explore brand identity, style preferences, and practical requirements. This stage includes:

  • Selecting style themes from sleek and modern to warm and rustic to define the salon’s personality
  • Choosing colour palettes that set the mood and complement the services offered
  • Reviewing product options such as styling chairs and wash units tailored to the vision

Step 2: Precision Measurements

Accurate on site measurements ensure that every inch of the salon space is accounted for. Good design balances aesthetics with functionality and these measurements are critical to making the most of the available area.

Step 3: Bespoke Layout and 3D Design

Advanced AutoCAD software enables the creation of:

  • Detailed 2D floor plans that show how the space will flow
  • Photorealistic 3D renderings in chosen colours and finishes providing a clear visualisation of the finished salon

These visuals give confidence in the final design making it easy to see how the salon will look and function.

Step 4: Review and Quote

Once the designs are complete every detail is reviewed and a comprehensive furniture quote is provided based on the selected products. This ensures clarity when planning the investment.

Francesca Corteen, Interior Designer – I have been working for REM for just over 8 years now and throughout that time I have worked on such a wide variety of salon design projects.

The scale of projects varies massively, whether it be a garage conversion your turning into a home salon or a large scale conversion offering everything under one roof, REM’s design service is perfect to help bring your vision to life. I like to work with the customer and really gain an understanding of how they use their salon and what works best for them, salons are so individual and what works for one may not work for others.

For me the space needs to feel personal to each client, its needs to flow well for the building and maximise the space they have. Using the design service can really help with this as the 2D plans give the opportunity to provide different layouts and show exactly how things will fit, it gives the client chance to move things around, maybe show layouts that they haven’t thought of before and possibly design some bespoke items for them to really make the space work well for their needs.

I personally love creating the 3D visuals and this is usually the customers favourite part. If you have a clear idea of what sort of style you want and colour scheme you’re going to use we can be completely client led for the 3D visuals but for those that struggle with this part or need some help and advice with this side of things myself and Scott are here to help.  We will help guide you through the process of choosing the right furniture for your salon as well as the most suitable fabrics and laminate finishes offered in our vast swatch to help create a space that’s perfect for you.

We generally can have between 2-6 plans per week. With a ratio of around 93% which result in purchasing REM furniture. Not only does the REM Design Service offer the above it creates a personal, ever lasting relationship, building trust between ourselves and you, the customer.
